it's a 190/55, it's 80" with 35 psi, my last tire (bt-014) was a 190/50 and was 77"

I'm liking the 55 more and more.  I ran a 190/55 takeoff a while back.  You don't see too many of those on the track.
Just a little more speed for the same revs.
Yeah, it made 500 hp at 32 psi.

Tom,
I have 296 HP and stock gearing, weigh about 270 (I know that's a lot for someone looking for speed, hopefully the HP will carry me) I am looking at the 190/55 thinking the taller tire would help. What is your thought? Also would you recommend the medium or soft compound? One more, can these be new tires of should they been worn a little?
Thanks for your help. :?:

medium compound, good tire :thumb:, break it in...100 miles of "normal" driving, so stay out of the throttle. good luck

Have you tried this tire (190/55) at the strip ?

Don't expect much life out of it.

Great tire that sticks like glue, but mine is completely toast after 2K miles.

I only use mine for when I go to the MILE. I don't think any tire will last long on a turbo bike

we use these on our stock bikes..up to 2000 miles and still look good..on the race bike..at Maxton we ran 17 passes with great traction but the tire was almost finished..probably good for 2-3 more runs....that was at 100+F in June.....
