ehem....Dennis as YOU KNOW boost pressure is irrelivant, peak cylinder pressure is what counts
and I would think that My 40psi is meaner than a old school 60psi boost pressure .
Damn that felt good...hehe

Btw just for measures, Hank did have it over 53psi  a couple of times (spun bad) while missfireing
from weak ignition without any issues, so you will be just fine.

From my experience Dennis the head gasket is pushed not from the horsepower but from the misfires.

The misfires we found were from the stock ignition coils that cant cope. I recently fitted a better CDI ignition & individual 0.45ohm coils (60,000volts) Just got to retry.

Battery power is also vital.

id guess at 45+ lbs of boost the turbo is going to be out of its efficiency range and you wont see much more hp with 50lbs.. not much more choices besides bigger turbo, larger bore,more compression or blue bottle..
