« on: March 26, 2007, 08:15:51 PM »
OK... get ready to laugh . I have an '01 GSXR600...not a Busa . hahaha . Go ahead and let it all out . My question is this ; I'm installing a CO2 shifter and want to know if it is ok to drill and thread a hole in the frame for the stationary end of the ram ? Alright damn it , laugh some more . But please explain to me and/or post a pic of a frame like mine with one mounted . Thank you .....Now wipe away those tears and reply !!!

spend the money on either a lee's bracket or a spencer cycle bracket. both are nice and work well.

FWIW, I am much happier with my shifter setup after moving the cylinder from underneath the footpeg (on a bracket) to the engine mounting bolt.  It seems to work much better, with more positive shifting.  I was able to turn the kill time down a good bit (and I think I can still decrease it some more).  One of the best moves I've made in awhile.
