Ive had them both 05 1000 06 1000 03 busa 08 busa nitrous and turbo both 1000 had nos and then turbo 03 is turbo 08 is nos stock to stock 05 06 gixxer tore them up period stock 1000 1.51 short time 9.49 1/4 best on the 03 busa 1.53 9.55 the 08  1.51 9.53 roll ons take the advantage away from the lighter machine I must ad a little work and you cant make up for displacement. A pipe ,lowered front and rear shifter still stock wheelbase stock seat I weight 196 in street cloths and the 08 went 9.43 153 mph my 1000 bone stock up in the air stock gear was runnin 149 on average went a few 151's all that was with stock tire also 25-30psi never below 25psi.I have a dyno in the garage and all the older busas made 152-155hp stock both 1000's made 154 my friends 07 1000 made 158  thats on a dyno jet 200.roll ons tell you nothing and riding one bike jumping on another tells you nothing to get true numbers you need to spend the day or a weekend at the track on each machine one you ride with torque one you ride with rpm. There is to much difference in riders to compare any other way.

why do we split hairs so much concerning the speed and quickness of current crop of fast bikes ??
Would it just tear you up inside if your bike was 2 one hundreths of a second  slower than brand X
These debates are funny to me .

funny part is he sold it for an 08 and know wants the 05 back cause it was faster to him

My 05 with exhaust and PC3 made 153rwhp.  His may have been good but that dyno in general sounds high.  Get a 1/4 mph with DA and that will tell the tale...
yeah beats the hell out of me, maybe somebody did some work to the motor and didn't tell him when he bought it but there is in reality like a 0 chance of that happening. I have a 07 GSXR 1000 that put down 170HP and that 05 would pull me and now I beat the shit out of his 08ZX10....lol who knows

last zx10 I built made 194hp with just my ported head with 04/05 valves , MTC 3 mil pistons and kaw race intake cam (stock exhaust cam) . They can make good HP with the right combo !

Our 10 ran 5.80's in the eight.

made 188 with ported head stock valves and cams with full muzzy on u-4.

Also changed  1st gear in tranny black off pair valve , had short stacks and street bmc

if were going to spec sheet race here just want to add that  you must figure riders weight into the power to weight ratio.
The nod goes to the big bike  now does'nt it ,even though one bike started out with more hp. and lighter

Also the busas mighty tourqre factor comes into play in every gear  ,all the way to the top, not just under  70mph.
I dont even drag race but the gen 1 busa i had me very impressed the way it pulled .

our rider was around 180 suited, bike was probably around stock weight, did have lighter exhaust but had myrtly west arm on it that was heavier than stock.

We got rid of it , cause it just wouldn't run like a gixxxer with the same mod's

It is an 07 zx10 . Right at 3500 I believe . that was with him supplying the 04/05 intake valves . In 06 they went to a smaller intake valve so I like to put in 04/05 intake valves in 06/07 heads for a 3mil motor .

Although i might never add a turbo to my zx10r, what your sayin sounds real good lol   a little bit of work wouldnt hurt right?
ALl i have on my zx10r is a exhaust and it was hard to find when i bought the 08.

Hey busa4speed, if you think u can beat any zx10r with ease, its prolly cuz your bike not only isnt stock  but u might have raced a new rider. the 10r has enough power to take any stock busa its all down to the riders now
