Go to the dealer and get a new oil filter then go to your local autozone or pepboys and match up the size you need to the filter. I use a pair of large channel locks to remove the filter and i use the tool to put the new one on. The tool doesn't work well for me when removing for some reason. It just wants to slip on the oil filter like it's slightly to large ( probaly slightly to tight.)
previously owned a 01 blk/gry Busa little of this little of that...oh yeah and a ghetto turbo 320horse/200ft.lb. 8.92@169
Bikeless....for now.

Search for part # 09915-40611. I think it's $3.45.

Don't know the price of the Suzuki tool, but Pep Boys has the right size "cup" style filter wrench to fit the OEM filter for under $3.00. I believe the line is named "Rite-Fit".  Not at home, else I would post the actual number.  These filter cups work using a 3/8" drive ratchet.  I adapted mine with a hex nut on the end and can now use a boxed end wrench to remove and install he filter.  Due to clearance, you need to have a ratchet with a thin head to clear your header pipes.

Or just switch to the K&N filters that already have the hex nut attached to the end of teh filter.  Makes changing oil a snap.

I usually just take them off with my hands, not that tight.

I use a $10 strap wrench from Home Depot. A handy wrench .

Use a K&N filter. They have a nut made on the end of it that you can use a 17mm socket/extension/ratchet  with to remove. They are usually about the same price as others.

If all else fails, drive a screwdriver through it and use that as a handle to loosen it!!!

you should lightly coat the oring on the filter before installing the new one with oil and you should only hand tighten the filter.. it will get tighter as the pressure builds. you never want to tighten a oil filter wrench tight. i tighten with hand to put on and i still need a filter wrench to remove and i dont bust ass putting it on either. shows it does get tighter with pressure
