Electrical help guys...installing a Scoprio
« on: May 08, 2007, 11:22:30 AM »
I am not by any means a electrical wiring kind of guy. I have it all installed but have not clue about the connecting the ignition disable wiring. It gives 4 locations to do it but I am not sure(at all) where they are. Here they are:

1. Wire connected between ignition module and engine stop button.
2. Ground wire from igniition module.
3. Wire connected between the ignition module and coil.
4. Wire that goes to the ignition fuse to fuse box. Haven't looked for this one though.

It says that the wire i am looking for is an orange wire with white stripe. I need somewhere by close to the battery or tank due to the wire length.

Thanks!

Be careful about the "orange with white" tracer wire.  I hooked mine to that and it caused the limiter to kick in at 8500 rpms.  Fortunately, I had heard that this is a problem on certain models (mines a 2002) and sure enough, when I disconnected it the bike went to normal red line.  There are other places to hook it up but I just left the anti hijack module unhooked 'cause I don't wanna mess with it.  Not really sure what good it would really be anyway!  :?
