GO TO GOOGLE, TYPE IN "NEW HAYABUSA"  LOG ON TO NEW HAYABUSA A CERTANITY FOR 2008.    GO TO PAGE 4 SEE WHAT YOU THINK?

um....that only says what you typed...whats your point?

He is "spot on"

I wasn't disagreeing with the numbers. He just pointed to a post on another forum.

So you're saying 1340...180...146?

If that 180 is rwhp, thats a pretty good number.

as tight lipped as this has been and as many years as we have been said a new busa was coming from suzuki reps.. im sure photos will show up day or  2 before show.. someone will get ahold of them.. but doesnt matter as bikes arent here anyway.. so all we can do it wait and wait some more.. but im ready to see what hell its gonna be.

Makes a lot more sense. I was assuming the "tq" was foot-pounds since the power was quoted in HP. Usually if the torque is quopted in nm the power would be ps, especially from a European website. I still say it's a bit ambitious for a sit-up bike like the b-king in stock trim. Be a bastard to hold onto the bars   :D :D :D

Hope it's true though especially if, as he also says, the 'busa will be more still

got that word over a month ago and posted here..... also ti valves, it's a b-king motor, dual exhaust like the 1k, complete new body, dual injectors, 3-way map, etc.

I cry BS on anyone speaking of colors right now.

The undertail exhaust on the B-King pics cleans up the ass of the bike so much.  Other than a hot ass when riding is there a reason they keep those HIDEOUS waterheaters hanging off the sides instead of going with the undertail?  Half of me wants to turbo my bike just to get the dump pipe effect for looks.  I'm certainly not of the riding skill level yet to get the benefits of a turbo bike... but damn they even just plain look better.

So how long after the dealer show would we expect the bike to hit the sales-floors?

now that depends.... if they have been working on it for while and ready to go or already in production, then maybe Oct, nov or so.  but normally brand new bikes from ground up normally come out in march.  depends..  bought new gsxr back in 92 and it was due mid march and i think it finally came in end of april.  but there are better nowadays getting stuff closer to on time.  but we should have more info at dealer show.  they will give us an idea on release dates.  i wouldnt think they will be available b4 end of this year... i dont think we will see them on floors until Feb or March or 08... but i could be wrong.. but should know soon enuff

My guess....and this is shooting from the hip.....is that you may see a couple trickle through over the summer and fall but they won't be in full force until late full early winter.

But I'm stil saying BNG....PLEASE FOR F SAKE PROVE ME WRONG!!!

it all it was was BNG, then they would be here pretty quick.  but i think consensus is that new bike is coming and i would say im 99.99% sure new bike is coming.  i wouldnt say that if i didnt believe it.  i believe what VP of suzuki said that new bike is for sure coming.. but time is slowly ticking down till next wednesday.

oh man so thats it huh?   I would have to see one in person because it could look great, but so far it looks like they just hurried up and did a hack job on it (cosmetically) :(      I'm sure its fast, and a great bike to ride though.

Hey totally off topic but how loud is your SMEG?  I'm probably going to put one on my 14 but people are making me worry saying its about as loud as a street exhaust gets!

you know the bike would look a whole lot better with a more modern looking rear end (smaller, thinner, and no old style hump).    Maybe slim down the large front fairing.
