Hey totally off topic but how loud is your SMEG?  I'm probably going to put one on my 14 but people are making me worry saying its about as loud as a street exhaust gets!
It has a very deep deep tone ...Not loud just driving around town .. But it gets loud when you pour the coals on ...It not much louder than Brocks Gen 3 can ...Maybe this will help , turn up your sound ...

you know the bike would look a whole lot better with a more modern looking rear end (smaller, thinner, and no old style hump).    Maybe slim down the large front fairing.

The hump is what keeps the busa from looking like every other bike out there.... it stays !

Hey i kept my hump on mine 24/7 but for a 2008 bike it just needs a new sleek sharp rear end, not the same old hump with absolutley huge scoops on the side.

If the abs system is a top of the line deal , I would buy it for that alone.  Imm really hopeing there is like 200hp , wild brakes and 50 less lbs to make the sale easier.  sj

i doubt the weight will drop, its almost necessary in order to be the kind of bike it is.  Same reason Kawi made the 14 so heavy.  Not because they couldn't make it way lighter than the busa, but because they probably found it to be more stable and cruise better with extra weight.   IF the busa is 50lbs lighter, once you take the heavy exhaust off another 25lbs at least now with cats etc.   Thats almost as light as a modern day liter bike, too light for most of the people looking at the 14 and busa.

I agree the hump is what seperates the Busa from all of the look alikes that are out there now,  so I hope they didn,t make it look like all of the 1000. They may up date the hump some what though. Also many of us are 200 plus pounds and 5' 11 and up in heigth and if they make a smaller fairing we'd look like we were on a 1000.

I don't think they will be over 1400cc, more in the 1300cc range, if they go to big in the CC department the insurance will be out of sight.
Maybe more compression, more cam, and great flowing head. :thumb: :D

check out  ABS

Technology can't replace riding skill, but it can improve your ride.
Suzuki's Advance Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) is designed to assist
braking by allowing maximum braking power in all road and weather
conditions without inducing wheel lock. Suzuki's newest system
combines the ECU and hydraulic systems into one unit that is both
light and powerful. The result assists the rider during heavy braking,
and helps to maintain stable braking power.

Suzuki offers this technology on their popular SV650 and SV650S, the
all-new Bandit 1250S, the Burgman 650 Executive and the V-Strom 650.

By understanding the rider's needs, Suzuki utilizes relevant technology
that complements the rider's ability, helping to keep them in control
when conditions are anything but controllable.

Sensors measure wheel speed and modulate brake
pressure through a 16-bit microprocessor reading
at 100 times per second to ensure smooth braking
performance without wheel lock.

That pic will work for me as long as its refined as it needs.... oh and fast as shit.   Now if we can get akro to make a dual exhaust that ends in 2 short cf cans that extend just out from the fairing like the r6 does.  My visa would be in pain .  sj

thats what i said, the bike would look alot better with a different rear end.  Rest of the bike looks cool.  I would have to black those mirror signals out before it left the showroom floor though.  On the gixxer its not AS bad, but man on the busa it just doesn't look good.  Easy fix though  :thumb:

Interestingly there is another article in a different mag that looks the same.

1) The bike is more or less the same as t6he picture above.

2) The dealers already know the colour scheme for selling the gear to go with the bikes ,one of which is orange and black like this one.

Hmmmm

Still fucking ugly though

i just dont understand why suzuki would work so hard and be so prooud of the busas aerodynamics, yet theyw ould add drag induceing scoops and sharp, choppy lines all over the bike....seems like they are going backwords if you ask me....sure extra power will be good but if the bike has to work harder to pull itself at high speeds, i imagine Noonan and the boys will stick with the old one...

P.S.  unsure of the accuracy of the orange and black pic...look at the Repsol underneath it...i seriously doubt that Honda is gonna re-design it to be that ugly...and whats up with the damn GSXR low can on it?? they arent gonna move away from underseat so you KNOW that pic is wrong..

I don't think its ugly, except for the rear end.   I think the current busa is a good looking bike, except the rear, its not just the hump its just the whole saggy big looking rear end.

ANd as for the Honda, dude some bikes are just plain getting uglier, like the new r1 is not as nice looking IMO as last years.
