I said he should be capable of running 10.20's with the power he is making. I guess I should have added if he was fine tuned and dead hooking.  

I understand what your saying I have been doing the stuff for 10 years. But I have been at the seen with my dad since I was born. I started when I was 16. The race is made in the first 60'.

But I do believe he should be running faster than 80's with what he has. But I guess its like the hayabusa thing some can go 9 some can't brake out of the 11's. Thats why I gave my suggestion about leaving at a lower rpm.

Just for compearing apples to oranges my car with out nitous 60's 1.39 (12"slick) and when I do run heads up races I run in the 10.5 outlaw class and run a 10.5W tire and the car will 60' 1.14 to 1.20.  A race is made up in the first 60.

that's a pretty beefy 306 and a good looking car at that. My friend joe recently bought an 80s mustang to build up, i forget which model he just keeps telling me the last year of carubrated mustangs
