shouldn't just consentrate on that peak HP number either. Look at the ZX12R vs Busa...the ZX12R always put down more power to the wheel but in most test the Busa out performed it in the 1/4 and top speed. We'll have to see what it does beteween 3000RPMs and redline, could be a huge difference.

My dealer told me last week that the only thing he new for sure was that the 2008 Hayabusa engine size would be 1340cc , just like trbobusa says.

"cheese and rice" is anybody else as tired as i am with 1300hemibusa and his comments? i don't doubt his scootay is as quick as he says but i have never seen a 14 with the same mods go as quick. he must be one of the few and/or a flyweight. and i am so tired of his constant defense of the 14 i'd like to give him a new name. anyone remember phantom12 and his tireless defense of the zx12? i'd like to start calling him phantom1352hemininja but i guess i shouldn't cause i always lose in a bar fight. anyway, just stating an opinion. let the comments roll on.

Well, there's a surprise!

Suzi pushed it back a year due to the strengths of the 14 and even then they have just managed to match it.

You saps who expected another knockout blow like 99 were so fucking niave. 99 was easy as Kawasaki had done f'all to the ZX11 for 9 years and the XX was brought out to match the 11. Now, Suzi has the very strong, nimble and modern 14 to contend with and they have only been able to match it.

It will just beat the 14 as there is little point releasing it otherwise but with less cc, the old frame and more or less a revamped 99 bike, the new B model 14 will not have to change much to react as it's so obviously restricted in current form.

I thought about that. Makes sense that they would cool that down if it were a problem, but that doesnt explain the other side does it?

Would they have put some sort of 'mapping' electronis back there for this one?

There was allways a lot more power to come out of the stock Busa motor anyway and
Suzuki are well aware of that.
Why recreate perfection ?

More cubes, more efficient burn, better tuning, less weight, is all it takes with the stock motor.

Development costs are huge for totally new bikes competing at this level. Suzuki are smart enough not to waste money
on a style of bike that is very politically sensitive in a world obsessed with health and safety on the roads.

The six cylinder concept bike was a good red-herring though

That 6 cyl thing was a POS , no way ida bought one. Im hoping suk looked at the porshe 911. Take a classic and well thought out design and improve on it. The purists will accept it and the techno geeks will be happy with the improvements.

Yeah no doubt, but my point was that the rectifier alone wasn't hot enough to have to make scoops was it? Come on people...theres gotta be a better reason than that.
