How does it affect the amount of light coming through the headlight? I for a cover off ebay but I'm not too crazy about the way it looks from the side and it lets very little light through at night.

Also I find my flashers and taillight not tinted enough either.

Did you just paint ofver the stock flashers and taillight with the HOK?

It did not effect my headlight at all,and it only dimmed my tailight and signals slightly.I could put brighter headlight bulbs and hyper white bulbs in my signals and you could never tell that I smoked them. And I agree those ebay lenses are not dark enough for me.As for painting them,I just wiped them down with grease and wax remover, scuffed them with a scotch brite pad rewiped them and stuck them in the paint booth. One tack coat and 3 medium coats latter and they were done.

cool, so the red tail lens can be tinted black as well then and it still brakes black with regular bulbs? It's not a clear after market one with red bulbs right? I thought perhaps you purchased a clear one to tint. I have several tail light lenses I can paint just gotta find some clear front ones and a spare headlight 8)

I use all my stock lenses, this is best.If you use a clear lens with a red bulb, once you smoke the lens it will be so dim you wont see it.For best results weather its the head, tail or signal lights, use the stock lenses.

they're fine as far as I know. none of my friends mentioned them being dark. Mine are semi smoked compared to Born2ride's busa. But I find his to be nicer. Mine are from clear alternatives.

Hey Born2Ride the lights look good but I am wondering what type of exhaust you are running.  Is it the Boz Brothers?  Do you have a sound clip of it.  Also I like the stance on your bike looks low but still very streetable what is it lowered front and rear.  Thanks.

Any particular reason for using th HOK and not just a regular black spray bomb from the parts store?

You can use any brand paint you want as long as it is prayed out of a gun,so you can mix the right amount of clear and black. If you attept to paint your lenses with a rattle can, dont plan on any light shining thru that. The point is to "tint" them not paint them.It works just like tint on windows, you cant see in your car but you can see out.

Paint shop can not do it...It took me 4 sets of junk truck tail lights before I learned the proper mixture. You have to have the exact mixture of clear and black,or your lenses will be so black they wont shine thru.Somebody who has not spent the time and research on doing this, will ruin your parts!A couple guys on the forum have shipped me their parts and i tinted them and shipped them back, they are very pleased.
