first 2008 busa is here!

 :DFellows the first 2008 busa is in the dealership in lexington kentucky. I just talked with Velocity Racing and they were delivered a new one yesterday. They are going to let the local dealership keep it for a couple of days before they get it back and tear into it to see how the head, rods, valves, etc. look. Then there going to start pouring on the boost. :P :P Ken said the bike is drop dead beautiful. Rear end unbolts the mud flap with 4 bolts. There is also a bigger cavity under the rear end. (should be able to slam this baby.) Suzuki will not let them post any dyno figures yet but i'll bet they already know the stock numbers. If anyone wants to see the bike go to the suzuki dealership in lexington in the next couple of days. Then the bike will be turned into a prostreet monster.

So is this a special release by Suzuki to a specific dealer?  The dealers I've talked to say it won't be released for sale until Nov/Dec of 2007.  :?

he is right...the busa was sent to barry henson Veolcity Racing, he loaned it to Bells Suzuki until this weekend for display.. :thumb:

I read motorcylcelist at publix to day, thanks but keep it home unless someone else was wanting to look at it. They also went from a 46mm throttle body to a 44? Should be a lot of tuning tricks for it, need to see dyno graph to tell how strong it's going to be?

What kind of first hand impressions can you share since standing next to it?

Did it look bigger, smaller, sleeker, better....in person vs the pics we have all seen?  Specifically the rear end, - does it look like it would be ok without the rubber mudgard assembly?

i think once you get that ugly duck bill mud flap off there it will clean it up alot.freakin exhaust can's are huge.bike didn't appear to be any bigger or smaller,it is using 1000 forks,calipers,etc.i love the gauges.i think once it gets out and everyone start's making bolt on stuff suzuki sales are gonna go through the roof :thumb:

I was at the Dealer show and saw the Busa ride out on stage. My first impression was that it looks lowered, and fat as hell from the front. I immediately noticed that.  :thumb:

 Afer sitting on it, and looking at it close up, I could tell it doesn't have much in common with the previous model. I really like that Suzuki doesn't have any external fasteners showing. Also I love the dash  :thumb: :thumb: I can honestly say that I think that Suzuki did a excellent job, and all I would change is to put the gold rims on the black model.  :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

  Believe you me, that I looked at everything bud, I was holding back my opinion til I saw it up close. Its so damn nice and so thought out, that I couldn't find fault.

 Until you see the tail in real life, hold your opinion. I think that a clear lense will make it look better yet.
 
When your sitting on it, it feels as though the tank is shorter and wider, and the fairing is definatly wider. The seat is better too, the stocker feels pretty good.

Sure it does...... the hp figures for non-production bikes means ZERO. Pull one off of the dealers showroom on November and then we will see what they make.

sorry not exactly what i meant.., really is that real running bikes are out there... i know preproduction means nothing.. just as it did with zx14 that gadson had before real ones showed up.  good thing is we dont have to wait till feb/mar to see.  oct/nov is fine with me. tho im sure others want to know more know.

sure thats reason suzuki doesnt want numbers released yet... until mags come out in coming months.. im sure they want numbers to come out the way they want them to.

well i didnt make it down friday but i will be riding up saturday morning. they said barry is coming to pick it up in the afternoon on saturday. so i will take plenty of pics. and give my first inpressions. hopefiully they will pull it outside would like to take a pic next to mine...  :D

Damn I'm definately thinking of pulling my CF Dymags off and not spending another dime on my 1397 bike. That thing has grown on me in two weeks!!!! :thumb:I just might hold off on cams now....

I'm getting the first one coming to my town!!   :D  My cousin (who runs the Suzuki store in my town) saw them at the show and suggested the orange.  He said the blue is awfully pretty but makes the bike look dated and the black/gray looked kind of bland to him.  I figured since my other bikes don't match, I'll go for varity.  I think it'll look good next to these. (I sold the Monster a while back though)
