Well i finished building the motor, degreeing the cam and installing the turbo system and the bike won't even start. Turns over fine, but won't start. Spoke to Pinky and he thought it might be one of the cams where 180 degrees off. So i pull the plenum, valve caover and pull the cams out. Sure as shit the exhaust cam was 180 degrees off. I was so excited, I thought I found my issue. But I had the set of cams that cam out of the motor, that where degreed in at 107/106 already, so I desided to just drop those in, since the motor ran fine with them.
Install the cams. Did everything right. Mark on Starter clutch lined up, #1 on exhaust cam lined with top of head and #2, pointing up. Count 14 pins too intake cam (forgot the # but book was right there). Checked it twice, all set. Put it all together and it doesn't even try too fire up. NOTHING, it just turns over, it doesn't even back-fire.
I am going to pull my hair out. I haven't riden a single day of July and this is not promising.
ANYONE, PLEASE HELP!!!!
WTF am I missing here????????
The timing rotor on a 2004 GSXR1000 can ONLY GO IN ONE WAY, same with the starter clutch. It's pretty idiot proof. Line up the cames correctly and it should start right up....
I have never had this problem before, so I have no idea where too start???? Worst thing I have done wrong on a complete rebuild is crossed #1 and #2 coil plugs.
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
