Nevermind, I found out what the  air box mod was...but do you need to have a custom map for the PCIII after doing the mod??? Did it make a noticeable difference???

Thanks!!

after u decide what all your going to do...do it then get a good tuner to map it for u. u will be best to have everything done before dyno to get the best results. small box mod works well and is free :thumb: might consider putting all short stacks in the box whille u got it off. i like all shorts in my setup qwite alot better then the factory mixed stacks but ofcourse i race qwite abit also :) helped me hook on the street a touch better too :thumb:

Hey guys,

How much does a mapping session at a tuning center usually cost?? I have heard around $250, correct??

By the way, I added PC III, Micron Slip-ons, and lowered it...starting to come together, will post pics when finished.

If you want one bad ass ride do the following:
(Many others have done same/similar mods)

HMF Big Bird Full System
Remove PAIR
Small Box Mod
BMC Race Filter
TRE
PC3 w/ "Quasar" Map

I have all the above and have just recently lowered to to keep it on the ground...Havn't been to the track yet, but I know it's good for 9's!  Not to mention the exhuast sounds mean as hell...I get compliments everywhere I go.
I think in all I spent about $1300 bucks for everything listed above.
2005 Hayabusa

HMF "Big Bird"
BMC Race Filter
Ivan's TRE
Small Box Mod
PAIR Removed
PC3R w/ Quasar Map
Lowered 1" Front/Rear Triple Clamp/Links
Brazilian UnderTail

I just kind of went through this about 8 months ago.

If I had to do it all over again with a stock bike...best mods to date:

- Braided front and rear brake lines as well as EBC HH pads and some high performance fluid - ~$200
- Re-spring the front forks to your proper weight and good fluid - ~$120 plus someone to help you change them
- New windscreen (double bubble or otherwise to protect better) - ~$60
- HID headlight setup (you would NOT believe the difference, especially if you ride at night) - ~$180
- 43T rear sprocket and ZZZ 530 chain (however you COULD do a 16T front and use stock chain) - ~$180
- Speedo-healer (everyone forgets to mention this when you start messing with gearing) - ~$80

Very first mods done should be to better the brakes and get the suspension set properly...after that, my personal preference would be HID, then the sprocket, speedo healer...THEN look at NOS, pipe and power commander, etc.

Brake upgrade is a good idea, I think it is needed on my stocker. I already have the double bubble windshield and I changed rear sprocket to 42T. Then I went with Micron pipes and pcIII. Speedo healer will be coming soon. Wouldn't mind adding the HID kit...
