We are moving fast now !
The supercharger came in a few days ago from Holland. We wanted to wait for the latest generation of blower,
which is why it took a little longer.
Engine is now back in the frame with the internal mods done all except the clutch, easily done in motor inplace.
Was at the unit a few times the last week or so, but yesterday we were talking about the cooling of the blower and bike generally.
The blower is working at 10 to 1 on the revs. So the bike at 5000 rpm means the blower will be spinning at 50,000 rpm.
The air intakes are lost, we do`nt need them now, but the cooler for the blower maybe fitted within one of the air intakes or we may fit a cooler under the nose cone.
The other air intake will be rerouted to blow air over the back of the motor for additional cooling.
Sorting out the plenum chamber / air box as we speak.
We decided not to go with the Kent Cams in the end, we have just fitted a set of standard cams of an 05 bike. The cams allready in mine were not from an EU bike and thats
why the bike was underpowered for the mods allready done previously......... as we thought
We are looking at completion of the bike and running by the end of this week.
The 6" over swingarm and lowering will be done early next week.
I may spend some time "running the bike in" on a generic fuel map until its bedded in nicely prior to the full dyno.
I am trying to sort out a pair of wheels to paint and fit these new Avons when the bike comes home as much dyno time will wreck the tires I have on it.
Reliability is the key thing we are trying to build into the bike. Race bikes are easy to set up. Bikes for the road have way different criteria.
We are talking a little cutting edge here in building a blown road bike rather than a race bike, so its very interesting
So from very little progress over the last few weeks, its all happening very fast !!!!!
