2008 Busa Crankshaft
« on: October 12, 2007, 01:30:10 PM »
Suzuki claims the 2008 Crank will fit in prior year Busa's.  That would take a 1298 cc to 1340 cc = aprrox 3%.  That would appear to be an expensive upgrade if power increase was linear.  Am I missing something???  If my 2006 street bike is at 185 HP with the piston slip kit, U4 fuel and air filterless mod--wow another 3% = 5.5 HP for $$$$$.

Thanks a bundle for that heads up--Have you tried longer stroke cranks?  Riding your bike on the street without starting problems? Are you using an additional battery?  Thanks again.

Funny but that is EXACTLY what Suzuki did to get the 1340cc motor.  Makes sense huh...

It has 2 batteries but it had a 2nd battery anyway before I put the crank in.  I've never ridden the bike on the street- it's a dyno pig...  :D  Longer cranks sure, just wanted to see what the little 2mil would do.
