Decided to short neck my 1K . Just have to weld it now . Got to something in the wnter

To lower the front end more . With a dry sump pan I had more to lower the bike to have 3" groung clearance but the wheel would hit the bottom of the triple first . Some of the prostreet busa's are done the same for the same reason .

I really do not have any experience with lowering bikes for drag racing. I have done a lot of suspension work, but it has been all road racing type stuff.

I am assuming for a drag racing only application you would not need a lot of suspension travel. Is this correct?

RCC has busa inserts on the shelf . I dont have a busa frame to measure either ...

Made a couple new things . Moved body work ahead , made rack for the Motec , battery mounts and co2 bottle holder . The stay has a spot for the ams 1000 and the plate is for a MXL Strada dash . I went from the origional 12 battery to 2 7's . Just a bit more cranking amps and way smaller to fit in .

Yes , work is cutting in to my free time right now . Forks are shortened and the tubes anodized black . Front wheel is machined and hubs will be done in a day or two . Started wiring things , making progress just a bit slow .

Bike is coming around now . Got a better handle on the clutch and gearing . Its been 7.78 so far with only 20lbs boost .
