Installed mine last night. Take the cables loose at the throttle bodies, makes install MUCH EASIER. you have to undu the bolts for the adjustment anyway..
8" of snow and 15 degrees so I cant give ya a ride report but from what I can tell on the stands the pull is def. shorter  :thumb:

Thats great what are you waiting for?Get your bike on the road and releashed the beast within.lol,You would love the response and pick up.

I would except for the 12-16" of snow on the ground

I know what you mean, it rained one day last week (well really a couple of hours) and it hasn't gotten over 72 degrees in weeks. I'm going through a set of tires every 2 months. Cant wait until summer, I get freaked out with my tires gettin this old.   :joker: :joker: :joker: And the R-1 throttle is awesome.

Grecco,

You know, not to play Devil's Advocate, but, well, I dunno. Should someone with a high horsepower turbo Busa really have a much quicker throttle tube? God forbid you get into too much boost at the wrong time.

Maybe, but I would be careful.

Installed mine. Didn't like the gap. So I took the bar end to the machine shop and had them take another 3/16" out of the inside. Fits perfect now!

I agree the best mod for the money. I went on my normal run in the mountains and found myself thinking about going and bamm I was gone.. The corners came a little quicker and shocked me a couple of times. It felt like I was making around 200 hp and had to watch haw fast I really want to go

So, has anybody tried this at the track.  So if I have a 03 1000 which one should I buy the R1 or R6.  Ultimately does this mod work at the track?

I have used it for both drag racing and a road racing track. And yes, it came in very handy.

Found that it made my 60 foot times more consistent, and was able to get in the mid-upper 1.6's (stock w/b, foot shifting) no problem back to back, with a best of 1.61.

The R1 tube is great. I would recommend the R6 tube for drag-racing-only bikes, definately do NOT put an R6 tube on a street bike.

installed the r6 version last week, finally rode it today, i like the action alot better over stock, around town riding is fine, very easy to get use to the difference between stock and this, acutally ordered both the r1 and r6 in case i didnt like the r6.
i have to say im keeping the r6 version on the bike.

I guess it just depends a lot on the bike a bud put the R6 peice on and took it off after 2 days and put on the R1 said it was to touchy trying to hold steady speed

thats what i did.
i ordered both of them (r1 and r6) from the local bike shop.

they told me that they didnt think it would work.

(mind you they only have about 5 or 6 utility atv's and a dirt bike in stock.  i have never seen a sportbike there.)
