Any interest in Frankenstein Bolt Replacements?
« on: March 23, 2008, 01:47:08 PM »
Paul from KPS has these that replace the frankenstein bolts and still hold the tail in place like the stock ones did but dont hang out 3 feet

I am going to order some up if anyone is interested in them.

They clean up the tail nice IMO.

I did the same mod with parts from Home Depot.

Look in the hardware section. They're in the specialty section where the metal pull out drawers are.

Do the bolts have a machined shoulder that fit the inside dianeter of the tail section the way the stock ones do?

Stainless.

Take an old bolt and go by HD.

Thanks guys, I find it hard to believe you can buy a bolt from Home Depot or lowes with a machined shoulder and outer lip like these as it would seem a very speciality bolt, but hey maybe i am wrong, I will look tomorrow, but had probably 15 sets of them ordered today with pre-payment so they must be attractive LOL
