WTF are the 3 TB grooves for?
« on: March 25, 2008, 07:08:58 PM »

Inside the TBs there are 3 raised grooves and I have never been able to tell what they are for.
Every time I see them I want to remove them.

Seems to me like the 3 raised sections, however slightly would decrees CFM by tripping the laminar layer causing vortex during WOT.

Just wondering.....seems like an easy way to get better flow and maybe a few hp on the top.

I didnt show a pic of the front sides just where I port-matched the backs (same MM but removed the step between the TB and boot on the head side) and got rid of the 3 ribs and polished them (I dont really see the frjont ribs hurting CFM like the step on the backside) but figured what the hell.
