How many seconds?
« on: March 26, 2008, 10:47:42 AM »
I'm planning to go for the National Record for 1 Kilometer and 1 Mile with standing start. I would like to use something like a 30 shot kit or even less, to help acceleration. My question is, can I spray nitro for up to 40 seconds without risking a major engine breakdown?

on a small shot like a 30,you should be fine, provided that you put enough fuel in the map to remain at a safe air fuel ratio. I know people will tell you that an a/f of about 13 to 13.5 is good for that amount of spray, but i learned after lots of r&d (6 engines worth) about how nitrous really works....i would put the a/f around 12.5 to 12.3. you might not make quite the power but the engine will thank you for it....hope this helps
