TOP SPEED SHOOTOUT! October 2008 Texas

Sponsored by SuzukiHayabusa.org, Tiger Racing, Busa Nation Aperil 

Shootout starts Saturday as soon as we can run, Ends at lunch break Sunday.

Streetbikes with DOT tires, Stock appearing bodywork, and chain driven.

Entry goes into a pot, winner takes all! Turbo class, Nitrous, N/A

 :thumb: 2 Wheel Tuner is intrested in possibly covering this and Streetfire.net :thumb:

For March they charged $195. to pre-register and $230. to register at the track. Take this into consideration when deciding the entry for the shootout.

***One rider per bike, must be entered with Mile folks and for the Shootout. No changing riders or bikes after registration/entry***

Not that this is a bad idea but I don't think you will get much interest from the all motor or nitrous bikes. :shock: You would have to have a BIG turbo bike to compete. Good luck with it. I would love to see it just because I love to watch the FAST bikes go down the track. :thumb:

So what do you think of the idea? The only problem is not being able to hear the speeds out there. You would have to run and bring your slip if you beat your best speed(minor detail).

Tom,

Its a great idea....You will just have to make sure there are some rules to abide by, and hopefully not have to "tech" anybody for them..

Also SOMEONE will have to run/regulate it....preferrably a NONparticipant(obviously).

The $$ will bring out more entires....long way to drive with the cost of diesel nowadays for me....Bill S said its goin to cost him $1K each way to go to maxton with his rig.....WOW...

I like the idea alot.  I was just talking to the TFA guys about that on Sunday.  It would be nice to take a little cabbage home after also running well.  I can't say I'm in for now until I see how things go getting my vessel back into working order.  From the looks of the competition, I'll need to grow an even larger set to face off against you guys.   :thumb:
