OK, here's the skinny.
1st run we ran a 225.9 and felt good about the tune up and the shifting. I could have tucked better, but it felt good. We went thru the traps with the shiftlight on.
I took 2 teeth off the rear and figured we could get a little more mph.
2nd run was a 222 and the bike just wouldn't pull the gear. We were disappointed but not down and out.
We came back the next morning (today) and left the tune up alone figuring I could change the way I used the nitrous in different gears. Dry shot 1-2-3 and wet system 4-5-6, but we had a mis-shift in 3rd gear and a backfire but we kept on going.
after the missed shift, it went into the rev limit and then I tried to shift into 7th gear. We ran a terrible 203mph and we knew we were slow.
Came back to the pits and found we blew the airbox apart, bent the butterflys slightly and blew the #1 header tube off the mid pipe. we inspected everything and fixed everything.
I put the 2 teeth back on the rear and juiced up the dry shot a bit.
4th run was a 226.7 and we felt happy again because it felt better then ever and was ready for a larger wet system load. The winds were really kicking up, 23 knots side gust at the finish line and tower.
We came back and changed the wet system tuneup and added another 35hp and went back out.
We sat on the line for about an hour waiting for the wind to slow down, it never did and the race was called due to wind.
The winner is Bajabug with a winning guess of 229.000
Bajabug, please email me your shipping address and what you would like from Tiger Racing.
The only saving grace was that we captured all the APS/F records in 1650, 2000, 3000 and 3000+
Thanks to everyone who played and we will try this again the next time we go out.
We appreciate everyones guesses and your support.
