Alright Three Trips too the Track & Same SHYT!!!!! Launches out Pretty Good, But then at wide open throttle bike shuts off???? like there is no Fuel???? then I let off a little bit then it Kicks back on?????? Ive made a few passes at Half throttle But that Sucks!!!! Any ideas would be Greatly appreciated............. Already cleaned whole Fuel system & Fuel pressure is spiking up when throttled-up...... Battery checked out ok..........

UPDATE!!!!!!

Two more trips too the track & same thing??????? Changed Battery, TPS Sensor, Cam Sensor, Cleaned whole Fuel system, changed fuel lines, & still fucked-up!!!!!! But, then I Changed the fuel pressure up too 65psi????? Then it ran better but, still fucked-up???? Im beginning too think the FUEL PUMP is Not Flowing the Correct Gallons per hour???????? Does anyone Know if RPMS Fuel Pumps or Regulators Go Bad & Maybe do this kind of Thing???????? THANKS Lilmike!!!!!!!

Sounds like something is shorting out if it is completely shutting down. Man that sucks - Bike Bash is next weekend...!!!

Maybe the cam sensor on top of valve cover?

A guy like you knows all there is to know about a Busa. So it may be something small and stupid.

TPS checked?
Kickstand pushing sensor all the way in?
T/B's opening smoothly and 100%
airbox hoses all accounted for?

Does it perform any different with the PC disconnected?

I know these are small and dumb questions, but you know we've all been there and done that.

Hmm you got a kill teather on the bike?? Wonder if that might be shorting. Could be the tip over switch??? I hate chaseing down electrical gremlins, got one in my truck that I been wanting to find for awhile but every time I look at that wire loom I sit down and cry

dumb question, just because i really dont know, but could it actually be overloading the system and basically the injectors cant handle the flow and somehow cut out?

Hmm would think it would lean up or sputter or something, should throw a FI light big time on that.

I wonder if it could be a fuel pump issue, these things drive me bonkers lol. Sorry mike But glad its not me.

Had similar issue as soon as I rolled off the throttle under boost, the bike would shut down... Turned out that my map sensor was seeing vacuum or was it my fuel regulator... ONe of hte two was seeing vacuum, so as soon as you rolled off throttle, the machine would go lean and shut do

Taped the uppipe and ran vacuum directly from up-pipe and cured the issue... You may also want to check your bleeder valves, I had one go bad and it was tuck open all the time, although it ran rich when this happened, if yours is stuck closed, would cause symptoms...

check the connection of the power and ground cables at the starter motor. i had a loose ground wire on the starter a while back and it did the same crap, was fine, but then would shut the bike off under hard acceleration.

:idea:Just thought of something! Check the Wego TPS reading at full blast. If it goes off the chart or blanks out I would say the TPS is the problem ?? Just a thought

My bike was shutting down just past the 60 foot every pass. I took the tip over switch out filled it with permatex. I have only got to make one pass since but it worked fine. The track opens this weekend so I will find out for sure.

Mike, take a close look at your kill switch, make sure it isn't making an intermittent connection.

It's not going to be a fuel pump problem, as the bike responds/jerks/shudders instantly.

Just left the track and bike dash is next weekend and I too am having similar problems the only difference is when I hit fifth it is like hitting a wall and the bike starts to sputter. LilMike have you found your problem? I have tried about everything except the crank sensor will this create this kind of problem? The FI light does come on but I thought it was because of the after market fuel pump.

I am not trying to steal your thread but maybe they are related

Sounds like mine when the fuel pump was going out. It would run decent down low, sound responsive but wouldn't pull over 7000 rpms. It just started chugging. Changed the pump and everything solved.

You may be locking your injectors up at 65psi depending on the numbers in the Power Commander...

Bike did same thing W/ 52psi 58psi 60psi then 68-70psi no change???? Maybe injectors are F---ked??? dirty??? but all of them ?????

Change the pump, and put the pressure back to where it was before you started having a problem. Which regulator does the RPM kit use? Aeromotive? Which pump? You can get a fuel pump to try out for less than $100 new. Please keep us posted, I know you've got me curious as to what the problem ends up being.

My 01 started doing the same thing 2 years ago. Just on a whim I changed the plugs and it has never done it since. I realize this sounds a bit far fetched but it solved the problem.
The bike would not skip or misfire it would just shut off at WOT at around 8 or 9 thou. rpm.
The plugs had been in the motor for about 30000 miles and were starting to look a bit rough but still I have never had sparkplugs act up the way these did.
