I worked for Danny Johnson for 6 years..............he set records that stood for years in Top Fuel Harley in the early 70's before we met.

He was a legend.  I worked for him in the mid 90's.  He could build a fast street Harley in a heartbeat.  I miss him.  We got drunk a couple of

times together and he confided stuff to me I cannot repeat, but just let me say he was a pioneer in fuel drag racing and one heckuva

engine man.  I will never forget him and I paid my dues.  He taught me never to take 2nd place.  2nd place is last place.

That is why I still ride a turbo-Busa.

Here is a poem I found a few years ag after hearing it read at a good friends funeral and though I would share with everyone here.

To Those I Love and Those Who Loved Me

When I am gone, release me, let me go...
I have so many things to see and do.
You must not tie yourself to me with tears;
Be happy that we had those precious years.

I gave to you my love, you can only guess
How much you gave to me in happiness.
I thank you for your love you each have shown.
But now it's time I travel alone.

So grieve a while for me, for grieve you must;
Then let you grief be comforted by trust.
It's only for a while that we must part.
So bless the memories within your heart.

I won't be far away, for life goes on.
So if you need me, call and I will come.
Though you can't see or touch me I'll be near,
And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear,
All of my love around you, soft and clear.

And then, when you must come this way alone.
I will greet you with a smile and say;
"Welcome home"
