2008 Cali emission question

I'm picking up an 08 from CA and I'm sure it's going to have the emission junk on it, and my question is can it be gutted and thrown in the garbage without computer issues? I don't need California emission crap in AZ

Cool! Can you elaborate, like where is it located, what is it, and what does it look like? I don't want to yank off the wrong thing and find out that I blew up the flux capacitor!
