Back on the Bus!
« on: June 03, 2008, 12:36:12 PM »
Just picked up my new 08 Black and Silver. I sold my 02 SE about a year ago and have been suffering from serious withdraw. Although I haven't had the new one even close to the powerband yet, I have been pretty impressed with the changes. The first thing I noticed was that the reach to bars was a little different. Maybe the handlebars are a tad lower, or the footpegs are a bit higher, but it's still comfortable. I've also noticed that the new forks don't dive nearly as much as the old ones. The shifting is like butter compared to my 02, and the overall handling seems more refined. I can't wait to get past the 500 mile mark so I can start playing with the extra ponies. I haven't been on here much, since I was Busaless for a while, but plan on checking in for all the great info and tips. I would also like to know what other people think of the GEN II, and what other features you like and don't like about it.

I was in the same boat as you Charlie. I was going through serious Busa fever, but wanted the new Busa. Picked up the Blue/Black/Gold on May 2. I am just in at 500 miles. I have opened her up a couple of times. Going in for her first service and Tsukigi Cannon full exhaust.

I love everything about this new Gen II. Her performance and looks are 100X better than my 2000 Busa. I love it!!

Congrats and have fun!!!
