Tryin to finish this 03 1k I got last fall Ive got my turbo on with walbro 255 fuel pump return style system with begi fmu and all those goodies. So my next hurdle is I had to get rid of my oil cooler for lack of room but ive gotten like ten diffrent answers on if I can just block it off or if I have to run a loop of hose across it?? and help would be great Im hoping I can just use my blockoff plates I have on it now.....

It is fine to run just the block-offs.I ran with 400hp for an entire season with no issues.I do run a bypass hose now and do suggest it but you do not have to.

if you run those block off plates your going to be Needing some new bearings a lot quicker than you would with just a simple loop around. I started the same thread about this same topic and i sure wish i would have listened to the ones that told me to loop it!!

What he said. I did the block off deal also on one of mine. One day i drop the oil pan due to a stripped oil plug. And i had a large amount of bearing shavings in the bottom of the pan. Go with the bypass.
