Lower first gear, honestly the SS1000s are only getting 4-6 passes on a set of fibers

Heavy springs and sprocket change for sure..

Make sure the stack height is right to begin with!!

ps.if you have gone threw a few sets check/clean out your oil pump screen!!

From what I've heard, leave the basket alone, don't weld it or anything. But make sure the springs are good and the stack height is correct.

I've read on other forums that guys are drilling additional holes on the basket, to allow more oil to pass through and cool off the clutch plates faster. Not sure exactly what they did, but you should be able to find in on Gixxer.com or something.

Also, when bike is sitting in between runs, lift the tank (hold open with seat) to allow better cooling, and remove (do NOT forget to replace!!) the oil cap to let it cool faster as well.
Take off like a 13, flick it like a 6

i was going through metals and fibers pretty fast when the bike was new.  not as fast as you but fast.  i had the slippers welded up and 3 oil holes drilled and it helped my issues that i had.

I have a falicon basket and the oiling is worse then stock i think, i have to rite before i make a pass i lean the bike over to the rite while its running in neutral and while its leaned over pull the clutch in and out multipal times, its seems to help alot, i have posted before about an oiling problem and nobody seems to reply about oiling mods to do with the falicon basket, i also would like to know a fix as well

you will take a clutch out faster with to much oil, than with to little. do you see damage? blue steels burn't plates or just loosing top end speed or low speed slip??

No damage just very dry plates, so dry that sometimes if im driving the bike up to staging and put the bike in gear and start letting the clutch lever out, the clutch just locks up and the bike will die out, i then have to restart the bike, leave it in netural and tip the bike on its side and pull the clutch lever in and out to get some oil back on the plates :(

Ive read people convert to the 03-04 style clutch also..read the 04 have wider plates than the 05s..

i also run alot of oil like a quart over..and like You said leaning the bike over and pulling in the lever before every pass..
