4-2-1-2 exhaust
« on: July 31, 2008, 09:09:24 AM »
Anybody have any dyno results from the performance differences between a good 4-2-1 exhaust vs a 4-2-1-2 system?

Yes Glenn I saw that. I was kinda looking for first hand data. I know that Ti Force has a system and also HMF exhaust, also Akro. Was hoping that someone had done some mapping with a good aircleaner and had some real#s.

Had a few ti force pipes on 08,s in Australia and there numbers are consistent with their own printout.Anywhere from 186 on a stingy dynojet 250i with winprep7.On the same dyno an 08 zx14 piped, aircleaner and tuned made 179.

So staying with 2 mufflers instead of the one on a full system has more power? Ive been looking at the single, due to weight loss, but may have to re-think this. I like the look or the 2 pipes but figured the one was the best way to go on the full system. Any one have any more knowledge on this? Thanks

it's only a fractional difference and not even worth talking about,I would only get a single can if I was getting a full exhaust, less weight.I think on the Ti Force website it was a 1hp difference between the two but it weighs more.Check out the new Akrapovic pipes they have a twin and single also, good looking pipes.http://www.akrapovic.com/product-catalog/motorcycle-exhaust/

gip1300,  Can you show us some dyno charts that back up your claim? Do both single and twin pipes make the same low and mid range power and torque? What about the performance of the new Akro twin pipe, what kind of numbers does it make? Inquiring minds want to know! :thumb:

Also if they are close in power, which is louder. I like the stealth of the new busa, doesn't tell everyone for a mile you are getting it. I would go duels if it makes it quiet, and has the same hp!

I think the peak hp is alittle lower in the rpm range with the twin exhuast,I'll post the graphs later.
