Hello :)

Can someone help me with advice?   I am installing a pro oiler (auto chain lubrication system).  This system works by monitoring the speed / revolutions of the wheel.   I need to tap into the speed sensor or speed signal wire.  This would be the same wire as the speedo healer is tapping into.  I'm riding a K8.   Could anyone tell me where I can find this wire and what color is it ?  thanks

There are 3 wires one black that is your signal  one black red tracer that is a 12v hot then a  black white that is your ground Hope that helps  :thumb:

I know on the first generation busas that you have to take of the side panel to access the speed sensor to install the speedohealer. On the 08 can I get to it by lifting the tank, or do I have to remove the PIA side panel......?

Is it on your left side  of the engine compartment ?  I think you have to pull the left fairing off?    On a K8.   That would be the black wire right 469 ?

Well, I installed the speedohealer. I had to remove all of the pins and bolts that hold the fairing on but I just pulled the fairing back to access the speed sensor plug. I did not have to remove the fairing. I went out before calibrating with my GPS and did different speeds and determined that my speedo was 7.5% too fast, which is pretty good for a busa. My gen 1 busas were 9% too fast. I then set the speedohealer to the correct percentage and did another test and my speedometer matched the GPS. The new speedohealer is much easier to program than the earlier model. Pretty Cool!

I hate sounding like an idiot but it seems to come naturally... What is a speedo healer? Obvioulsy it seems to correct it, but why would you need it? sprocket changes or tire differences only or is the factory setting that far off?

My speedo according to my GPS was 7.5% too fast. In other words my speedo shows 80 mph and I'm actually doing 74. With the speedohealer my speedo says 80, my GPS indicates 80.  I just like having an accurate speedo..........
