Back from the salt, should the bearing be changed?
« on: August 24, 2008, 10:54:16 AM »
We ran 12 miles (really didnt press the motor much because on both runs drivers had to qualify for C licenses and had to lift @ 175)

----------MOTOR IS IN A CAR---------------

I am about to pull the motor and get the turbo motor prepped for next year but want to take the big bore for a backup motor.
The motor is a 1507cc.
Should the bearings be replaced?

JH, congratulations on a great job on the salt and thanks for the help with yhe PC. The motor I ran had 2000 miles on the bearings and looked great. I would look at your bearings and if they look good run them. I am going to an 08 crank for next year so I have to use 08 bearings.
