Yosh vs. Web Cams and HP Estimates
« on: September 12, 2008, 12:15:03 PM »
I am getting ready to drop my bike of for the 30k mile maint and tune up. The bike currently has a BMC Filter and a Muzzy Pipe and a PCIII.

I am considering putting some cams in the bike since I have to take it to the shop anyway. Will I have to modify the air box to get the most out of the cams?

Which are the better cams for the street the Yoshs or the Web? The bike goes to the strip maybe 6 times a year but avg 10K street miles per year. So I am looking for some more power but to still be streetable. I am also considering a 1397 kit but looking at the cams pretty seriously right now.

Thanks for the help.

your best bang for the buck would be two intake cams and small box mod. and have someone good tune it.

The yosh cams are very streetable and they can also be used when you upgrade to a 1397.  You dont have to modify your airbox, but it will help.

1397cc use 380-386 lift intake and 345-360 lift on the exhaust. I have a set of 384"/350" new in the box sitting around. One one stiffed me on them imagine that!

I second the double intake cam set up. I only made a couple more with cams other than the double intakes.

Intake cams are ok, but you still have to buy the adjustable sprockets.  The yosh cams come with them.

Intake cams are ok, but you still have to buy the adjustable sprockets.  The yosh cams come with them.

$150 for ADJ cams sprockets
$100 for second intake cam

$450 for used Yosh cams or $600 for new Yosh cams

Install yourself or pay $500 for install / degree...
