Sure thing.  Almost 10% I bet, but I didn't go get the calculator to prove it.  You'll need a speed-o-healer to go along with your sprocket to correct the error.   Interestingly, it could be off by as much as 7% or more from the factory according to some of the guys that have double checked using their GPS
2007 black, akrapovic slip-ons, PCIII usb, small box mod, helibars & genmars, 17/42, speedohealer, buell peg mod, race tech 1.1 springs, eibach rear spring, OK Now I'm ready for some appearance mods . . . if only there was more money & time!

Thats nuts.. i've often wondered about the reliablitly of the speedometer...   on a daily basis ill be driving in traffic going 80 miles a hr keeping up with traffic.  seems awefully fast considering the cops dont seem to mind..

as stock the K8 speedo is as inaccurate as the early ones

I'd say it's down to Suzuki not wanting to send the bikes out with the correct gearing - the early ones use 17/40 stock and changing to 18/40 makes the speedo almost totally accurate - and under the right circumstances will also run a true 200mph (mine ran 201.1 with pipe and PC3)

the latest uses 18/43 which is almost the same as 17/40, change the rear to a 40 and the speedo once again reads correct  - all as checked using GPS.

I'll see in a couple of weeks if it will also run 200, Yoshimura full system and PC3 and a TRE.
217.7 @Elvington mile.

stage 2 BigCC turbo and still a road bike.

Thats too much gear for the Gen 2,I went to 45 in the rear and the bike just doesnt need it,the stock gearing was better.Down 1 in the front was good on the Gen 1's,the Gen 2 pulls rpm much quicker.

Does the Speedohealer off the 1st Gen work on the 2nd gen?

Thanks.

Yes it does.  I transferred mine.  But the version 4 soh will also work on both.

Great, that saves me a few bux.

That gets me closer to a full Akro system for the new bike.
