Reccomended Suspension Settings
« on: September 03, 2008, 12:27:26 PM »
Y'all know of any recommended suspension settings (or article pointers) for a stock suspended 08 for someone about 200 lbs with gear?  Preferred riding is street or twisties (not a dragstrip type question - but if you had that handy....)

Thanks in advance!

Bruce...I know SportRider magazine has suggested settings for the 08, they are probably for a 180 rider, but it would at least be a start.

But...the very first thing you need to do is set your sag for your weight on the front forks and rear.  Follow this article.

I added 1 click of rebound in the rear and it made a huge difference as my front end was not staying planted,I was getting a wollow in high speed turns and instability, which is not a characteristic of a busa, never had the problem with any of my Gen 1's,I only wieght 170.
