This is a reminder for all of us how fragile life is even for somebody on top of their game. A momentary lapse of concentration or a mechanical failure is all it takes for tragedy to take place. Dave was taken from us much too early, but who are we to argue with the big man? Dave was a role model for most of us; always helping fellow racers no matter what and I never saw him squabble senselessly with other board members. He was never cocky, just proud of his accomplishments and justly so. I was involved with professional Drag Racing at the highest level and had the same mentor as Dave; Mr. Rick Stetson, the owner of HMP. We are talking about two of the most successful and brightest guys around. You will be sorely missed Dave and LSR will never be the same.
