made it to the 8's

Finally,the 8's!!  tried all summer at 5.5# boost 9.02 to 9.04 several times couldn't do it so i went to 7# and that was the ticket 8.93 @160

I know, I know I'm the slowest guy in the room..... but it still feels better than being the fastest guy outside the room.

The reason I said   "I'm the slowest guy in the room" was because I posted this in HEAVY HITTERS
it was just spring of 06 that I was telling Snoop "if I'm in the 10's I'll be happy" that didn't last long.  now for next summer I plan to .........ha,ha

I expected the difference between 9.0# and 8.9# to be unnoticed only to be known when I arrived at the time slip shack... but the difference was huge! I was significantly farther  from the beams when My shift light came on to go to 6th.  Normally have it come on as I reach the beams but this time I carried 5th so far I bumped the revlimmiter as I went through. so I knew I had it. 
   good luck to any others tiring to make it to infinity, it feels good.

I still kick myself in the ass for that. Snoop says I should never dial 9.4 for bracket again I always do something stupid at that time.
Sunday I went to the semi finals running against box (computer timed) cars by not listing 9.4 as my time.

should have been 9.4, if the slip says 9.6 dial they listed wrong and i didn't look. didn't really matter when I was jut nosing out on a the other bike.... till someone didn't go off the line. and left me with oh shit how fast do I go, how fast do i go.

My hat's off to all you guy's " the heavy one's for shure" I just can't afford to go to the track and beat up on my bike like that. My little buddy is always trying to get me to go, but he wiegh's no more than 140# and don't understand how much harder on part's we are.

that is what gearing is for. I only change clutches because I like to keep them fresh. But I can go half a season on clutch 50 to 60 passes. gear it right

man that is damn good on 7 pounds of boost. i as well have been trying to get there. maybe i could do it at the track this weekend. i havent been back sence us131. of course i am under 6 passes on a new bike but what the hey.
