Camshaft help
« on: October 26, 2008, 05:42:58 AM »
I was just about to fit some adjustable cam sprockets and noticed a problem.
The dowel for the cam position sensor is in the wrong place according to my manual.
Am I missing something? or is the manual wrong?
Pictures will explain better.

Note the dowel at 10 O clock and the cut out at 12.

My dowel is at 2 O clock

You can look at the lones pic and line them up from there and it will work as long as you pins are correct on the chain.  That pic is a reference only...

Thanks, But do yo mean the cam lobes pic ? I don't doubt the cam sprocket pics in the manual but why make a reference to the cam position dowel/pin for the sensor in a totally different position. Does this mean that all other items in the manual are wrong and for reference only?

Not getting at you Bro, But I would expect a Suzuki manual to be accurate. :thumb:

Does every one else's dowel point to two O clock in this position?
