Measuring swingarms
« on: December 06, 2007, 07:17:38 PM »
I have a question about a 4" over arm. I bought what is supposed to be a 4" over arm. I measured it against a stock arm and it seems to be 2" longer. I measured from the center of the pivot to the beginning of the axle adjustment and it is 2" longer than stock. Am i missing something. Sounds like a dumb question but i want to make sure i have got it right before i contact the seller. Thanks

The measurement from the center of the pivot to the end of the arm is also just 2" difference.

Thanks. That's what i thought. It is a nice arm with air. But i wanted a 4" over. Need to contact seller and see what he wants to do. He said he never measured it.

Is that bike in your picture with a 4" over? What size tire you got on that? I wondering because I'm thinking of going with a 4" over but would like to leave the stock 190 on it and I'm wondering how you like it. Thanks

The bike in the pic has a 4" over swingarm on it.  I have a 190 shinko on it.  I like it and Im a guy that started off riding in the twisties.  It handles pretty good even in the corners.  I actually bought the arm from a guy on here that used to make extended swingarms.  I dont know if he is still on here though.  His screen name was E-FREAK
