I will just get coop to send me 1 until i can get up there, there is no need for the guy to pay 40 for a map then get it tuned for another 300.
I figure with the kind people on here that somebody might have a map to get it by until tuned.

13,

Why not buy Spaz's maps and compare and contrast between his and a 'custom' map? Which such a modified engine, who knows you may find that some maps are better than (gasp!) one 'tuned' at a dyno shop that shows decent peak horsepower but with not a lot of emphasis in low-mid part throttle response.

If you do get it tuned a dyno shop, make sure you get an Air/Fuel readout, both at peak and, say, 40% throttle. But don't ask for the 40% throttle map (with air/fuel) until after the bike is 'done'.

Just something to consider.
Take off like a 13, flick it like a 6

I have been having cooper do my motors for yrs and have tuned about 30 bikes for me, i trust them and there tunes. Also have seen there bikes run at the track.

Also if i get a map from spaz how am i gonna what the air/fuel ratio is correct, it wont give me a read out for south alabama.

I am not saying that he is gonna be wrong , i just ain't gonna ask this guy to buy it from spaz and then  pay agian to get it tuned.

so your dyno tuner doesnt have a sniffer??

Get it done with someone who does..I have a 1397 and tried a few maps, bike runs like shit down low,and who know the rest..was going to get it tuned by the master Dave O before his accident..

No offence to Spaz,I'm sure He's done enough to know a good start!!..But every bike location, pipes, mods ect is different..

They do have it on there, i know cooper performance isn't that well known on here, but they build power all around. With some of the best service and help you could ask for. Me and GWizz like them

Sorry, read it wont give you a readout for where you are??

Get it tuned either way for sure..I spent the whole year because I didn't have a tuner and wasted alot of time trying on My own to get it running right..could of been possibly running much faster/better!!

I have maps for stock all the way to 1600cc. From Iowa to Aruba. I have tuned bike in 25 states.  And let me tell U a dyno map is no where near as good as a track map. But He should do what his gut tells him to do. I will bet a steak dinner that after its tuned . U make two passes and I could install a map that will pick mph n et. I have show and done this to racers for years. Just remember no one races dynos.

no doubt you make good maps, and i dunno what dyno you use. Also people have there idea of which dyno is better, but jerry and jeff use a superflow that has  air speed to match wheel speed so it as close to real word riding as you can get.

The bikes they tune and build FLY. Jerry's been in the business  over 25 yrs and jeff over 15yrs.....

I will be at a track near me this weekend, ya wanna help.......i will buy u a steak if you come
