Rolling Resistance When Pushing Bike
« on: October 31, 2008, 06:50:50 AM »
I'm guessing this is a clutch issue, but would like opinions:

When pushing the bike (engine off), it's more difficult to push the bike forward when the transmission is in gear (clutch lever pulled in) versus the transmission being in neutral and clutch lever not pulled in. Clutch has 19,000 miles on it.

Its probably a little tougher when the motors cold, cause oils cold may not be any problem hows the clutch work during normal rideing no slipping, correct amount of free play on the lever?
The older you get do you notice you start chickening out way before the bike does

Are you noticing an increase in the difference from how it was in the past? It is completely normal for it to be harder as you are turning more things and dealing with rotating the clutch steels while the fibers are stationary.
Any day on a motorcycle like this that ends just needing parts and labor is a good day.

It seems different than from the past, but maybe I just didn't notice it in the past.  Clutch seems okay although it seems like I don't have to pull the clutch lever in as far as I used to when shifting.
