traction control?

was told by a local tec that the gen 2 has a traction control device. if this is true is it noticeable when it kills the cylinders?

Maybe they are thinking the Mode Selector?

I've seen evidence it works but I have NO Idea or DESIRE to put mine to a lower setting.   No out and out suzuki initiated traction control though/ yes to throttle tube.

well this guy is one of rick Hendricks top guys. he told me it would drop one cyl . i thought that would be rough on the crank and rod but? well i know this guy is sharp on busas but guess we all can be wrong from time to time. i know i had never seen that any where

Bazzaz makes a traction control unit for the Busa but you have to run  their fuel contol box with it, it runs around 800 to 1000 dollars for the complete set up, but they do not come equipped with traction control from the factory.

lol no traction control on mine when I took it out on thanksgiving and smacked second gear a little too hard on cold Maine roads

He's probably talking about the dumb Mode selector switch A - B - C power settings.  It's far from a traction control system but does restrict power across the rev range...

That's got to be what he's talking about but it's not exactly how it's been sold.  It doesn't restrict fuel, ignition, or apply brakes like on an automotive traction control system.  All it does is restrict the secondary throttle bodies from opening which allows less air to be taken in.  Similar to putting a throttle stop on a kids dirt bike....
