Just a quick pic. I finally figured out (I hope) the last fuel system problem with this bike. I swapped ace's regulator on to my bike, fired it up, and instantly ran shitty. Fuel pressure was showing 43. I swapped another regulator on to my bike and ran fine. So I took his apart and this is what the  beef jerky...I mean diaphram looked like.

I can't forget to mention that fuel was leaking in to the top side of the regulator. Ordered up a new diaphram from magnaflow, and it's good to go now.

Moral of the story is don't let fuel sit un treated in your bike for long periods of times. A lot of these issues could of been avoided. :steps off soap box:  :hys:

Got the last of the fittings in, so I got to finish the fuel system, fill it up with coolant, oil, and prime it.

One thing I forgot was how big low hanging turbos don't like the rear tire lifted of the ground. I primed the motor and topped it off with a total of 4 quarts...all with the rear wheel in the air. After getting the bike on the ground, and filling it up with a little fuel I fired her up...and smoked out my whole shop. But it fired first crank, and purred like a kitten. A real pissed of kitten.

So I pushed it outside and let it kills some Mosquitos, and about 5 min it cleared up. Here's the video. This is a major milestone.  :D

Alls I need to do now is get a front sprocket, master link to put the chain on, finish wiring the ams, and those pain in the ass gauges. Should be on the street for part throttle tuning.

Yeah not cranking it but every 6 months with year old gas tends to stop up an injector or two. That thing sounded like a John Deere tractor when I dropped it off

Been busy with the 5 other bikes I'm doing right now, and even till today I'm still waiting on the last parts for this thing. But got it running and it just purrs. Can't wait to do some part throttle tuning on it here in the next few days.

It's pretty dusty because of the gravel. I was loading my bike on the trailer and the rear was spinning...so I have to "dust it off" a little to make it all the way up.  8)

Got it finished! Took about a 25 mile ride. Ran great, and was a pleasure to ride.

And yes I put the air filter on before the ride.

Dunno, I got a things to tweak and finish up. Just want it to be perfectly road worth, so after the tune it's up to just playing with ramp rates on the boost controller, and dialing the rear shock.

Ace I've not read a turbo story like this one since Alans...lol
hey stop that laughing
Ace I'm not laughing at you or the situation, basically how things can fu@k up when these bikes are in the wrong hands.
Funny this was said 3 years ago, and we are just finding out the rest of the problems.

Was able to get it finished a week or so again, and I've been able to take it out and ride it. This bike is Absolutly awesome! The bike feel and rides down the road like its a stocker. It's got a nice firm ride, and with the new map loaded in the ecu is super responsive out of boost. its just on wastegate right now (4psi) but when it starts going in to boost I notices a little air leaking hiss by the blow off. While I had the plastics off changing the oil I took off the blow off and found a nice section of the o-ring seal pinched and sticking out a little...that was the boost leak I heard. So we got one on order.

The only other issue I've found was the bikes not charging. I did find the negitive cable that grounds out on the starter loose...like bolt about to fall out loose. That was my mistake. I looked over that when I put the engine back it. After tightening the bolt it still isn't charging, so I have a feeling with that cable not making a good connection it over stressed the recifier and burnt it out, so I'll have to replace that. I'm sure it will solve the problem, it never had a charging issue before.

On another note I've put just over 100 miles on it, and again it's an awesome machine. The only thing left to do is strap on the c02 tank and take it up to Johnny cheese.
