Transmission repair questions
« on: January 25, 2009, 11:40:35 AM »
Nubie here.
I want to get the gears in the trans back cut and my question is, can I remove the trans without taking the engine completely apart?
if so, what is involved in this?

The motor is in a sandcar so removing it should be easy, I just don't want to take the motor completely apart as it runs great.
thanks for the help.

nope, gotta split the cases....you don;t have to do anything to the top end, but you have to remove the lower case to get to the trans.
Any day on a motorcycle like this that ends just needing parts and labor is a good day.
