pick up a 5 pin relay from automotive store.
pin 85 +12 volt
Pin 86 Clutch signal (ground when pulled in, when you pull the clutch relay will click)
Pin 30 one side of wot connection
Pin 87a other side of that wire you broke the connection on
The relay will have pins 30 and 87a connected to each other at all times, EXCEPT when you pull the clutch lever in. At that time pin 30 gets connected to pin 87 (which will have nothing connected to it) and your signal will never reach the 2 dial.
So somewhere before your 2 dial just break the activation connection and hook it to pins 30 and 87a of the relay.
