Street tails
« on: March 09, 2009, 01:43:55 AM »
I have a blue 08.  I am looking for an extended street tail.  It seems like I remember seeing one a while back that accepted the stock turnsignal pods.  I cant find it now.  Am I just imagining that, or can someone point me in the right direction.

Thanks
Ben

Go with the +6 extended catalyst composites tail and get an integrated tail light. cleans up the back end real well looks way better  also!   :D

Ya, I seen those, and am considiering it.  I just thought I remembered seeing ones that would accept the stock turn siignal pods too.  I just want to see what my options are before I decide.

I dont think they accept the turn signal pods those that have them have cut the holes out and made their own mounts.

Predator is correct! The tail does not come with signal cutouts nor the tabs for the signals. You can do the intergrated tail light like egarms mentioned and do what some people are doing is getting turn signal decals and put them where the signals should be......

Here is kind of what I was thinking I saw.  See how their stock length street tail uses stock turnsignals.  It seems like I saw somewhere a stretched one that did too.  Maybe not, but I want to be sure, cause thats what I would like if someone makes one.

Also, if I go with the catalyst, where is the cheapest place to get the 6" over street tail with tail light bracket?

Thanks

Depends on where you live. If you call up catalyst they will tell you 230 something plus 48 for the tail light bracket plus the cost of shipping something like 50. Catalyst is in cali so if your in cali just drive over and pick it up. If you call up tobefast.com or MCCoy's its a couple bucks cheaper by like less then ten. I know when i called in they were out of the +6 tails so it took an extra 3 weeks to be made and have them ship it out.
