1397 build parts grocery list

Ok guys this is all of the stuff I figure I will need to get so my builder can do my 1397 motor let me know if I left out something.

Cometic engine gaskets the good ones, APE 65 # valve springs, HD APE studs and nuts, . hi volume oil gear, cometic .84 head gasket and the circle clips for the JE 1397 pistons i already have a new base gasket.

I'd cross the studs off of you don't already have them to save a few bucks without compromising anything. Would also strongly recommend a ported head with the combo. Can be had for less than $800 pretty easily.

You will also of course need an 84mm cylinder :lol:

i think i'll probably stay with the studs, already have the head and the block and pistons  :thumb: thanks

yes i used the studs also good idea if you are spraying nitrous

Who's your builder? I know Rodney had/has a great on heads but I'm looking to get one done right now.  :thumb:

did not mean to step on anyone's toes with the reference to a couple of head guys but my builder is family, and Rodney, Lee, Gaan, Dye, Adams, and Chuck are all in 2 hr or less driving distance. The site supporters are not. That is not a dig on them but if I have a question or need to take my bike to get it looked at it is more convenient for me to drive less than 2 hrs than to go about 8 hrs or more.
