Any Big Boys running 60"
« on: March 18, 2009, 09:36:31 PM »
Wondered if any big guys are running 60".  If so what kind of times are you getting?

For 2009 I am reworking my motor specs to help the launch more but this is all I have managed at 260# unsuited:

60' 1.66
1/4 9.45
mph 157

I get railed out of the hole but I back half pretty well.

thats nice for 60" at your weight, great mph to. big guys normally get a break in wb if the weight over a certain amount, up to i believe 64". so you wont see to many at 60". keep up the great work and let us know how it performs with the new motor work  :thumb:

Hopefully we will get to go down the track on Thursday, as long as it doesn't rain.  Last TNT got rained out as well.

I can't convince myself to make the bike longer.  If I can't make my goals of getting into the 8's I may have to break down and make it longer though.

I run at 60 or just under.

My best 60' is a 1.596, and I usually run in the 6.30-6.40 range in the eighth

Hmmm .

285lbs suited.
5300' Altitude
Currently on a for the most part stock 2006 Busa. No pair valve, airbox mod with stock filter, stock exhaust, air shifter, ECU Editor mapped bike making 158hp corrected or 127hp actual, stock clutch, stock front sprocket, up 6 teeth on the rear sprocket, slammed and strapped, 59" WB. Shifting at 10.2k and trapping at around 10k.

10.50s @131mph with a 1.65 60ft. time. And that is killing it the best I can.

I know I can do better with some sort of clutch mod and perhaps a cushion kit as well. I feel a high 1.59 very possible. But at this altitude, that's about all this thng can do. I might be able to see a 10.30ET without any major mods, nitrous or turbo.

I'll see if I can get some video of me running those times as well as show a comparison with my friend running it. He weighs 175lbs suited and is significantly smaller in stature than me. He runs 9.90s @ 138mph with 1.60 60fts. MPH shows how size can kill the back half.
