Bill ran 246+ at Maxton however that was with a different kit, it might be all about the was the power and torque is applied to keep that Monster 240 rear tire of his from spinning excessively, Bill should be the first and perhaps only person to run 250 unfaired and imagine if he does it in Texas and then again in Maine.. :bah:  The other venue is 1.5 miles long..

Alan be careful and baby step it so you can keep it together to run another day..

Any info on Karls ZX12?

Trilly/Jody?

Leslie?

Scott and his team along with Shane?

Come on peeps post up some info.. :thumb:

Update

I just talked with Bill and he went 246 naked today. :thumb: :thumb:

Jody and Trill aren't going to make the Texas event this time and I'm not sure if they're going to Maxton or not.

I managed a 188 on the first pass and eventually got a 200.917 out of it. Those crosswinds got a little crazy. I think I crossed the traps at a 45 degree angle. lol. My air shifter psi was low and popped me into neutral instead of second. I manually smacked it into second (as well as all of the other gears) and ran my fastest of the day.
I'm learning with every pass, so the lessons continue tomorrow!

Yea.....the crosswinds suck big time!  I was only there once but I noticed they get worse in the late afternoon.  I think you're best bet is to get there early and maximize your runs in the AM.

Bonneville, El Mirage and Maxton maybe, the problem is that I might go to Elvington and that is the same weekend as El Mirage I think.. :?

Elvington is 15/16 August, if that helps. Of course our British National Records event is at Woodbridge on 12/13 sept, and will consist of standing quarter, kilo, mile and flying quarter, kilo and mile disciplines and run 2 ways.

BTW John Elvington has a 106db noise limit for turbo bikes, Woody is 112db.

287 HP, 6'2"/210 pound rider plus leathers. I'll be very happy with any increase in speed at all. Johnny Cheese took some time to show me how to tuck better yesterday. I'm gonna try his suggestions today.

Mad Mike just called and he broke 200 on his ZX12R for the first time ever and he was happy. Good job.

Looks like Karl (Entropy) had a oiling issue, broke a rod and it went thru the case. Him and Doug Meyers worked most of the night at Karl's and built a new motor out of spare parts Karl had at home.
Went back today and Karl ran 208+ which possibly is the fastest pass on a n/a ZX12R in the country. Karl is no short featherweight which makes it that much more impressive but the guy can sure ride !!

Great job to TFA........

Dan
