I am hoping those are warm up runs for Wayne, getting the feel of the bike .  He is capable of 250's plus with that beast.

They are racing today. Cooler in the 70's and the wind is not bad but the atmophere is water saturated so not ideal for N/A vehicles. Mark DeLuca on Big Red did run  225.87 MPH with a smaller 1650 class engine. At least those who made the trip got to race.   LSL
All motor all the time and a turbo now and then.

Congrats to Bill Warner on top speed of the meet at 247+ mph!

He has now soundly eclipsed my speed of 244 to become the fastest owner-builder-operator at Maxton.

I hear he also set the record for the longest boosted run at Maxton ever by staying in the throttle a little too long!

Congrats to Trilly on a new personal best of 241+!  Way to go!

Congrats to Pushrod Tom and Mike G. on their new records on Pushrod Tom's pair of BSA's.

Glad to hear everyone was safe.

Out little Ninja 250 went over 119 on the spray, making it the fastest 250 around !! I think we put 7 mph on the old record

And the pilot made his first and only pass of the weekend on this run. Weather came in and out and he had somewhere else to be so he left and we didnt get another run.

Re: May 16 maxton results - THANKS JOHN BULLOCK
« Reply #13 on: May 18, 2009, 06:01:10 PM »
I would like to publicly thank John Bullock for helping me out tremendously.  At the April Maxton race I put a big hole in my motor and had no way to come up with the parts to build another.  John hear of my situation and offered me all the parts I need and just said replace them when you can.  I have only met John a few times and for him to to this shows how nice of a person he truly is.  John is also the person that back in 2006 stepped up at Maxton and offered his bike to a little Canadian girl who wanted to try and go fast.  She became the first woman at Maxton to go over 200mph because of Johns offer and now is the Fastest Woman in the world on a Motorcycle.  Although I did not make a stellar showing this last weekend, I hope with the help John provided I will have a similar title of which Trillium holds.

Thanks again John, I'll try and do a good job.

Bill
